An Overview For All of the VALORANT Maps

 Since Valorant is based on the "Future Earth", each map is situated in different parts of the world. Matches of the Valorant take place on a map. Each map contains two spawn areas, objective sites where the spike is to be planted, and an restricted area where players can access to the shop during the Buy Phase.

During the launch of the game, there were 4 maps. Valorant currently have 7 different maps for players to battle on. Each map is set in a different place on "Future Earth".

Valorant typically releases new map after every 6 months.

List of Maps

Fracture


Fracture is the most recent map in Valorant. The location of the map is Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. There are two spike sites: A & B. The map contains Automatic doors, One-way automatic ziplines and Rope ascenders. The map was released on 8th of September, 2021.

Breeze



Breeeeeze!! The most lovable map in India. It is baes in Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean. Scary as it may seem. It includes two spike sites- A & B. Dynamic elements of the map includes- Rope ascenders, Mechanical door and One-way chute. The map was released on 27th of April, 2021.

Icebox


The coldest map in Valorant. There's snow everywhere yet the heat of the gunfire outweighs. Based in Bennett Island of Sakha in Russia. It includes two spike sites- A & B. The map contains Ziplines and Rope ascenders. Oh, it also has a kitchen. It was released on 13th of October, 2020.

Bind



This map is kinda like a dry city. This dry city is in Rabat, Morocco. A & B are the two spike sites. This map has One-way teleporters. These teleporters are used by players to quickly join the combat, ambush, or sometimes to fool their opponents. Whenever a teleporter is used by an agent or an object, players nearby will be given an audio cue. This epic map was released on Beta Launch Map.

Haven



This map is one of it's kind. Haven's unique features include an additional third spike site. So, the total spike sites are- A, B, & C. The map is based in Thimphu, Bhutan. This map contains 400 HP destructible panels on the mid doors. Whilst intact, they can absorb damage and can not be penetrated by gunfire. Upon getting damaged, it allows player to  wallbang through these doors for the rest of the round. This map was released on Beta Launch Map.

Split


This map has dynamic elements like Rope ascenders. Containing two spike sites- A & B. The map is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The map also contains a tunnel sewer. Though, the players don't get dirty walking by. This map is loved by majority of the players since its release in Beta Launch Map.

Ascent



A city after my own heart. Based in San Marco, Venice, Italy. The map has two spike sites- A & B. It has two 500 HP irreversible bomb doors which gets activated by clicking the button besides the door. Each of the spike site has this door which once destroyed, can remain permanently open for the rest of the round. It also has a 400 HP destructible panels in the mid area. The map was released on 2nd of June, 2020.


Valorant uses a sophisticated map system in order to increase the variety of maps players will encounter and reducing the possibility of playing the same map multiple times in a row.

Ranks in Valorant- EVERYTHING EXPLAINED!!

Ranks in Valorant goes hand in hand by playing competitive mode. If you win, you rank up and if you lose, you'll get demoted. There are 8 ranks in Valorant: Iron, bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Radiant.  Ranks Iron to Immortal are divided into 3 tiers- Tier 1, 2, and 3. Tier 3 is the highest tier within the Rank. Players of Immortal and Radiant ranks are featured in the game's leaderboard. Players who perform wonderfully well will rank up faster than the average. These are shown at the end of a game with their current Ranks.  To earn a Rank, a new player must play 5 placement game. The highest rank a player can get placed into  is Diamond 1 (Tier 1 of Diamond).  Players are awarded with RR (Rank Rating) when they win a game. These RR are directly related to Ranks.
