Origin, Ethnicity & Demographics- EVERYTHING About Valorant's Agents

 Agents are the playable characters which we choose before a match. We can pick ONE agent for a match. There are in total of 19 agents categorized in 4 groups. Click here to learn about the "Agent's Category".

No two teammates can take a similar agent. There's an unique agent in each team. Although, the opponents might have a same agent as you. You can only see the opponents' agents once you join the match after selecting your agents. You can see what agents your teammates are picking.

Agent Type and their Origin:

• Brimstone

He's a Controller and was born in the United States of America. He's a former special ops soldier who as brought some old tricks to the new battlefield. He can cover the map in smokes with one swift  (limited to 3 per round). He's a proud American.

• Viper

She's a Controller and was born in the United states of America. She's a chemist, a toxic one indeed. She deploys a series of deadly chemical weapons to take over the warzone. She uses acid and chemicals.

• Omen

He (or maybe she?) is one of the mysterious agent in Valorant. Nobody knows where they're from. Infact, his gender is yet to be known. But chances are he's a male. He's a controller.

• Killjoy

She's a robot turned into a female. She was "developed" in Germany. She is known to be the creator of the gadgets and the infamous "spike".

• Cypher

He's a Sentinel from Morocco. He's a tech savvy and a top class spy. He uses a network of spy gadgets to gather intelligence or his team to catch the enemies in trap.

• Sova

He's an Initiator who specializes in scouting and reconnaissance. His entire equipment is built around finding the enemies and marking them for allies. He's from Russia. 

• Sage

She's a Sentinel agent. She's like a healer. She has orbs which can heal the nearby injured allies. She can also heal herself. One she uses her healing orb, she has to wait for 30 seconds to have it regenerated. Her resurrection ultimate is one of the best. It can bring back the unfortunate teammate back to life.

• Phoenix

He's a British and a duelist. Growing up, he attended a performing arts school in London but was later suspended. Upon recruited into the VALORANT Protocol, he's ne of the finest agent. He uses his self flame abilities to injure and blind the enemies. He is being loved by her fellow agent "Jett".

• Jett

She's also a Duelist. She's a Korean specialized in mobility and assassinations. she's like a true ninja (not Ninja Hattori). She can dash up short distances to catch-up enemies or even escape danger. She can propel herself to reach heights to lurk. Theory says she likes Phoenix.

• Reyna

She's a duelist and comes with some of the most powerful and unforgiving abilities. She's one of the powerful agent which can get invisible, heal and even blind enemies. Hence a Mexican.

• Raze

She's a Duelist from Brazil. She's specialized in mines, grenades and explosions. she's all about causing AOE damage to enemies. She has a satchel which makes her go fly in the skyyyyyyyy.

• Breach

A bionic Swede and an Initiator fires powerful and targeted blasts to aggressively clear up the path through enemy ground. He's literally one of the aggressive man out there.

• Skye

Hailing from Australia, she has a band of wild animals with her which helps her and her allies getting a step ahead. She also has a power to heal her allies within a specified radius. She's an Initiator.

• Yoru

A Japanese native Duelist. He's aggressive and deceptive. He teleports, blinds and even gets invisible. He can do all such stuffs before the enemies know where to look.

• Astra

She's a controller agent hailing from Ghana. She has a unique kit of powers unlike other agents. She's a cosmic deity because she can place literal stars, nebula, nova pulse and even divide the map with cosmic. She does all of it from her Astra World. Although she can control the whole world but she's the least picked agent in Valorant.

• KAY/O

He's an Initiator war machine built in "Alternate Timeline Earth". He destroys radiant with powerful suppression abilities and an ultimate unlike others.

• Chamber

He's a French man and a Sentinel. He's a gentleman assassin. He can teleport through his ports and set-up his cameras to have an input of the enemies who get trapped into it. He also has a specially built pistol and a sniper, which once shot on head gives a damage of 150+, meaning it can literally drop dead the enemies with a single bullet. The ammo to the guns are limited.

• Neon

A young Duelist Filipina naturally generates electricity (unlike Thor ofcourse) to speed past the opponents. She can run 4x the speed- limited to 10 - 15 seconds but can regenerate. She can create electric flame walls to pass through an open zone, spills electricity damage from her fingers and can concuss.

• Fade

Finally, FADE. She's a newly joined Initiator from Turkey. She's really scary. She uses abilities based on her enemies' fear. She blackmailed VALORANT Protocol and knows some dirty secrets about them. She's a scary hunter that unleashes the power of a nightmare to seize enemies.
