All You Need To Know About The Categories Of Valorant's AGENTS!!!

 Valorant is a tactical shooter game. The one thing which makes it FAR different from any other shooting game is its cast of characters, mainly known as agents. They add a definite flavor to the game. Each agent has a unique set of abilities and playstyle.

There are currently 19 agents in Valorant. Each divided in four categories- Duelists, Controllers, Initiators, and Sentinels. 

Each of these "Agent categories" has a different attitude towards a match. A well versed team would consist agents from each one of these categories. All of the categories are capable of being offensive and defensive.

Duelists


Duelists are one of the most aggressive agents which typically handles everything upfront. According to Valorant, duelists are "self-sufficient fraggers". They add impactful aggression to the game. Duelists are supposed to seek out engagements and make the lead. They are highly dependent upon themselves for clutching up the round.

Following agents come under the "Duelists" category:
  • Jett
  • Phoenix
  • Reyna
  • Neon
  • Raze
  • Yoru

Controllers


Controllers, as the name says generally controls the areas around the game. They are best in flanking up the areas other than the bomb site. Most of them are equipped with flashes, smokes and other abilities which can boost up the team mates and provide success to their objective towards any particular round.

Following agents come under the "Controller" category:
  • Astra
  • Brimstone
  • Omen
  • viper

Initiators


These agents are useful in making the first move towards a match. They help their teammates getting the right start and eventually pushing away the opponents. They are good in offensive. Equipped with flashes, stuns and visions, they lead the team to success.

Following agents come under the "Initiator" category:
  • Breach
  • KAY/O
  • Skye
  • Fade (Newest agent)
  • Sova
Last but not the least....

Sentinels


Sentinels are best in defense. They are defensive experts who can lock down the sites and watch flanks. They are helpful in both attacking and defending sides. They are equipped with unique gadgets, traps and orbs which can slow down and block the sites.

  • Sage
  • Chamber
  • killjoy
  • Cypher
